A Kansas Guy Doing Cable

One of the craziest experiences in the almost 6 years of doing cable has to be the old guy answering the door.  NAKED!!!!!  I had to pound on the door a few times before he came to the door and it was obvious that he wasn’t all there mentally.  He was over 70 years old.  I couldn’t tell he was naked at first, as the screen door was blocking his lower body.  I could tell he didn’t have a shirt on, but I thought he had pants.  But when he allowed me into the house and opened the screen door and that when I noticed he was nude as the day he was born.  He stood there talking to me.  I had no clue what to do, except to look at the ceiling the whole time.  He stood there for 2-3 minutes before he decided to excuse himself to get dressed.  All I could think of saying when he said “I guess I should get some clothes on,” was “umm, yes please.”

I’ve had people answer the door in PJ’s and in towels, but never nude.  And why did it have to be a 70 something man?
